Car, Football & PJ's

MY CAR BROKE and I no nothing about cars so can you imagine what must have been going on in my head. "Oh... crap." It's been such a faithful little thing too so I guess we were about due for something to happen. My warranty expired about 10,000 miles ago too. The funny thing is that on the way to drop Addison off at work we talked about how we've been lucky with this car and that when we do buy another one someday we should get a newer one so we don't have to worry about paying for repairs. Not 30 minuets later... I'm at an intersection in Orem and my car refuses to move. (Keep in mind that I have my baby in the backseat, it's freezing and I am car-idiot. really, I'm not offended in the least by this thought.) I put my hazard lights on and wait patiently (or I thought patiently) for some good Samaritan to stop by and give me a hand to push it to the side of the street. No one came so I ran to the nearest house to ask for a hand. The cutest old man opened the door and here's the part that I feel bad for. I had HIM push my car! He could have had back problems or have been week and here I am making him push my car so I could steer it to the side of the road. (I do have plans to bring a treat by though. No worries.) I luckily was near Addison's Aunt Laurel's house so Alex and I visited with her and her daughter Adylaid (sp?) while my mother came to rescue me. I came home and got a lovely experience calling mechanics and my insurance company and more mechanics... feeling every bit the grown-up that I supposedly am.
Now my car rest at the dealership waiting to be repaired. Apparently the clutch cable and a bracket are broken. Yeah, I don't really know what that means either. My poor car. Here's a picture from google a 2003 Kia Rio. I would show one of mine but 1. I don't have any pictures and 2. my car is so dirty that even if I did have a picture I wouldn't show ya'll. He he.
On to happier and bluer things... I went to a BYU football game and survived! Yes, I am a BYU fan... I'm just not a fan of zoobies and going to a BYU game is a sure-fire way to get bombarded by a huge infestation of such people. No, just kidding. But Addison and I went and had a blast! The game was great. BYU won which was a huge plus too. Ok, but I do have to say that I don't understand a few things about the whole BYU game scene. I know it is a part of the atmosphere and I should dive right in and take a part in the experience but I have to draw the line at Star Wars. I'm talking about ALL of the fans standing up and marching in sync to the Darth Vador theme song. (I don't know what it's really called.) Do they even have football in Star Wars. I don't think so. I'll have to ask my husband, though. Well, here are some pictures that I took at the game, please enjoy. One of them is of me and Addison having fun. The second one is of us being scared by the man in front of us who felt the need to high five (in the same order) the same 3 people after EVERY play. And the last one is of the band. I thought they were very talented. As a dance I couldn't help but be impressed by the choreography. *I think it's funny how I attended a football game and was able to take a picture of the marching band but not of the team. Hmmmnn.

And the final leg of my post. Today Alex got the cutest pajamas from his Grandma Jenne. I love them. I had to take some pictures of him with them on. And of course, the monkey as well. Alex has a stuffed Monkey that goes everywhere with him. He loves that thing and carries it around the house by the tail with his teeth.
