It's usually about 3 blogs in one year! But I had to share and brag that my son is adorable. I love him.
We took Alex to Trafalga on Saturday. He was so cute. We lost our camera halfway through the day so I didn't get pictures of him in the go carts or with his 3D glasses on. But, luckily, some awesome good Samaritan turned it into lost and found.
Here he is golfing. It was so funny. He would do the initial swing, hit the ball and then walk it to the hole where he could put it in better. He was a pro. Then we got Dip n' Dots. He was so serious about eating it too. Didn't want to share.
<img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 300px; height: 400px;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_f2YiAgSYpFQ/TLusz90FiyI/AAAAAAAAAcs/3jaNCt8-yrs/s400/PA120015.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5529202976293751586" />
<img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 300px; height: 400px;" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_f2YiAgSYpFQ/TLus0JMvtMI/AAAAAAAAAc0/RPpHAYy-hgo/s400/PA120018.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5529202979349968066" />
The next two are from this morning. We got him new church clothes. He's so cute. He loves his tie.
And then, during sacrament meeting at church, Alex got so upset because he missed a prayer and was determined that our whole family keep our eyes closed and arms folded until the youth speaker ended the talk "in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen." It was funny. HaHa. What a doll.
<img style="float:left; I'm not a writer. I'm a reader. Which, for those who are more visually stimulated, I think you'll enjoy this post more than my other ones.
The first few pictures are of our new place. Except, Addison's "office", the 2nd bath and our bedroom. Those pictures are still on the camera and I just don't feel like uploading them right now. :D
The next 2 are from last weekend. We took Alex to the Vineyard Pumpkin Patch. We got lost in a corn maze, saw a lot of farm animals, played on huge blow-up toys and a fun playground. He had a blast. Unfortunately, my camera died after the 2nd picture. Alex just doesn't like to look at the camera. He'll do it for a half of a second, and then refuse to after that so it's rare for me to get a picture where you can see his big brown eyes.
I think the next few are from the 4th of July. I took Alex to see the balloon launch at the Provo High School baseball field He was in heaven. He talked about the "root-beer" balloon for a week straight after that. (It was shaped like an old fashion coke bottle, but he still called it the root-beer balloon.) Then we went and watched Toy Story 3, the 2nd time we've ever taken him to a movie theater. And then finished the night up at Mitch and Amber Watkin's home for fireworks. That is the last family picture I've had taken. We're about due. This also happened to be within the hour that I found out I realized that I was pregnant. I was pretty happy in that picture. (Once again, Alex won't look at the camera.)
And somewhere in there is a pic of Addison and Alex when we took a trip to the zoo back in May.
These next few weeks are going to be exciting for us. Tuesday we'll find out of our little tumbler has a "kickstand or not." (Quote from my Dr.) The next week Addison's sister and her daughter will be visiting. Soooo excited. Then Halloween, which is easily one of Addison's favorite holidays. I think he likes candy more than most children. And then one of my favorite holidays is next. Thanksgiving!
I'm sure I'll be back next week to announce what we'll be having come March. My guess is it's a baby... we'll see. J/K.

Apparently My Summer Vacation is Over

I unintentionally took a vacation from blogging this summer, and soooo much stuff has happened.

1. We moved. We left Lakeside Storage. It was bitter-sweet. This was Alex's first home. It was an answer to so many prayers when we got the job. We'd lived there for 2 months shy of 3 years. I loved the girls I worked with, the cow and horse paster I could look at out my bedroom window, the trees on the river trail were gorgeous. I loved where we lived. However; in May, we received a wonderful opportunity with a company that I worked for straight out of high school.
I now work as the onsite manager for a student housing complex in Orem. Our home is a 3 bedroom, 2 bath apartment. So, one bathroom and bathroom then what we had in Provo. I work just an hour extra then what I worked at Lakeside Storage. I also have a set schedule which allows me to make set plans for Dr. Appointments, running errands, play dates for Alex. Next, the first 28 hours of every pay period pays for my rent. Any extra I work I get compensated for. Which brings me to my next point.

2. Addison has gone back to school full time. Because we have this job opportunity, we will be able to have him just concentrate on finishing school. It'll take a few years, but at least it won't be a stop and go game. He's currently taking 14 on campus classes and finishing a 3 credit independent study class. His classes are every morning so he's home in the afternoon when I have to work. We tag team watching Alex. I'm very proud of Addy. I know it's hard for him to just concentrate on school, but it's got to be done.

3. Alex turned 3 years old in August. He is such a charmer. He had a fun birthday party with a few of his cousins. He was so excited by the Buzz Lightyear and Woody toys he got that he didn't even want to leave to go play at Chuck E Cheese. Maybe next year. We're still trying to potty train him, and I'll be honest, we're not having much success. (Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.)Alex loves so many things. He loves to play outside, he loves friends, he loves nursery, he loves any PBS kids show. He's a wizz on the computer. No, I'm not joking about this. Addison has taught him well. He says the cutes prayers every night and is such a good example to his parents. I love him so much.

4. Baby number 2 is coming. I'm so excited. We're all excited. He/She will be due in March 2011. I've been sicker this time than I was with Alex. I completely forgot how tired I would be. I have to take a nap, almost every day. It's hard not to feel like a lump on a log. Hehe. We have a few names picked out already, but aren't going to decide until we figure out what gender we're having. No, I have no idea. My guesses usually aren't right anyway. We'll find out sometime around Halloween. We're so ready to give Alex a sibling. It's amazing how much love I already feel for this life that's growing inside of me.

Well, I have pictures to show. Of Alex's birthday party, summer activities, but I want to do all of them at once. Including pictures of our new place, but I'll need to clean before I take those. I plan on doing this tomorrow, we'll see though. I tend to say that a lot. ;)

Like Father, Like Son

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 300px;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_f2YiAgSYpFQ/S8CoqJWMX2I/AAAAAAAAAZk/jVkN_YchoM8/s400/april+2010+076.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5458548190390017890" />
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 300px;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_f2YiAgSYpFQ/S8CodPf_A4I/AAAAAAAAAZc/EWoETmFwYlg/s400/april+2010+074.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5458547968703398786" />

These two are wonderful. I'm so grateful for both men in my home. Alex watches and copies Addison all of the time. He is really the funniest little person I know! He's talking so much lately and is interested in any animal that comes our way. And Addison is such a wonderful dad. He always takes about an hour each day after work just to hang out with Alex. They spell, play on the computer, throw the ball, jump on the bed, shoot bad guys or watch Mickey Mouse until Alex has to go to bed.
I LOVE YOU GUYS.

P.S. It's wonderful to be able to know what he wants instead of just guessing. However; Alex is talking and that means he's listening too. He repeats whatever we say. Since he's around me the most... he says a lot of the same things that I do. I've never realized how hard it was to watch what you say. I thought I was doing really good until Alex and I were playing one day and he threw a toy. *Throwing toys in our house is a 'no-no.' I told him 'No' and he turned at me and said... "ADDISON!" That's right. Alex now thinks that when your playing and then someone does something wrong, it's called doing an "Addison." Hahaha.
I have a very playful husband who loves to tickle me and we get into pillow fights. I think this is where Alex learned to yell Addy's name because I yell it. It's too funny. I love my little boy.

Laugh Out Loud

We were watching Mary Poppins as a family Monday night and Addison turns to me and says... I'm greatful for my Savior, Jesus Christ. I'm so thankful for the atonement, to know that He understands my sorrows and regrets and has made a way for me to repent of the stupid sins that I have commited. Thank you. I'm greatful for Heavenly Father for sending me here to this earth, for the body I have, the family I've been born into and the one I married into. I'm greatful for my wonderful husband and best friend. Addison is truley feels like my other half. And I'm greatful for Alex. My hilarious, energetic and compassionate son. I never understood how anyone could fall in love so instantaniously until I met Alex. And my mother and father. You will never meet people more giving than they. They are the net that catches you when you slip. I love you Mom and Dad.
Now, for the superficial things. I'm greatful for cool nights under a thick quilt, a book that I get lost in for days on end, movies with happy endings, Q-tips, board games, the river trail I live near, wind, fishing, and much more.
Feel free to watch the video below. It's the link called 'In the spirit of Thanksgiving.' It's fun to think of the things that you are greatful for when you get to hear what others may be thankful for.

In the Spirit of Thanksgiving

This Kiss

I love Alex, and he loves me. I love voting. Maybe that's why I'm a poli-sci major. Anywho, I headed over to the local elementary school to cast my vote. When I drove up, the parking lot was dark and foreboding but I was determined to figure out where I was suppose to go. I drove around the school and found a bunch or cars parked near the gym. Delighted that I finally found everybody I headed towards the building. But something didn't make sense. "All the Single Ladies" by Beyonce was being played quite loud. I thought it was pretty weired to have back ground music at the polls, let alone that song... but whatev. I like the song and was about to start bouncing to the beat when I entered the gym and beheld about 20 elderly woman (about 65+ years old) all grooving and shaking what they had. It was an exercise group but they were doing some pretty hip dance moves. I left right away because I couldn't help laughing right out loud. When I'm their age, I hope I can be as awesome as they all are. So this is my shout-out to ALL the single Ladies. Friday night Addison and I were able to go on a date with some of the best girls that I know and their husbands. We went met up at my parents house because that is where we dropped off Alex for my Mom to baby-sit. It was kinda like weird deja-vu seeing everyone in my front room again.
We went to the Haunted Forest in American Fork. I have to say that I was 98% impressed. I had to dock off 2% because the tickets were extremely expensive for us poor students. Even waiting in line was entertaining. Addison got to make faces at Michael Jackson's thriller video, a huge pumpkin jumped out from behind a fence, Jack Sparrow was fighting like crazy to find rum and the ghost busters even made a cameo. And that was just the waiting in line. The haunted house and forest were fun. I kinda felt back for the tall people in our group because there was ALOT OF bending over. Hehe.
Here are pictures of us waiting in line. We weren't allowed to take any of them in the house or forest. Sorry.
The whole group. Ana (Malpica) & Addison Steinagel

Trent & Jen (Johnson) Harris

Courtney (Hensen) & Tyler Jarman

Seth & Heidi (Wadsworth) Larson

Three's a Crowd

There are times when you think that ... " When I reach this point, I'll know I've made it" or "When this happens, I know things are getting better." Not that things are bad, just that they can always improve. Let me explain.

When Addison and I were brand new newly weds, I had one of those moments. I knew that the day that we could afford real garbage bags would mean that things had improved. Does that make sense? I know it sound silly but for garbage bags we just used the plastic bags that we took home when we went grocery shopping. Boy did they fill up fast. I remember thinking how nice it would be to have a real garbage bag that didn't need to be taken out to the trash 3 times a day. Once a day would be great. Well, folks... the time has come again when I feel that "If only I could have 1 vacuum cleaner that could fulfill all my vacuuming needs, then things would be better." That's right, I own 3! One is for picking up small pieces dirt, one picks up string and one I use for the excellent hose suction to get into the creases of my couches and the cracks where the carpet meets the wall. I love that they were all free and they all fullfill there intended purposes. However; lately I find myself fantasizing of only owning 1. Aren't we always suppose to be aspiring to get more things and here I am wanting to get rid of them? Hehe.

So, until that day comes I, Ana Steinagel, am currently am a 3 vacuum cleaner owner and user.

It's about time...

It's about time that I post. I know, sorry. (I'm mainly talking to Courtney. J/k) Things were really crazy in August and I was really lazy in September so now it's October and I guess it's ok to post now. Hehe. I'm going to go really fast so try and keep up.

I'll just start from the top. It's going to be really brief because I don't want to wright forever. it would take forever! See this handsome man? This is Jordan Steinagel, Addison's little brother. He left for his mission to Santiago Chile. Before entering the MTC, were we got to drop him off, he stayed with us for 3 weeks. It was awesome. And Mackenzie and Taylor came over as well and we had a blast hanging out with Family! Here are some pics of the 3 weeks we spent together.

Alex also turned 2 in August. I was in charge of throwing him a birthday party and Addison was in charge of the present. You wouldn't believe what he bought him. A blow up bounce house! It's ridiculous! But the kids love it and right now it's set up in Alex's bedroom. It's huge but he loves it. It's his own Fortress of Solitude.
Then in September I took Alex to the petting zoo at Thanksgiving Point. Aunt Lindsey, Zoe and Grandma Anays (my mom) came. Alex hasn't forgotten the "horshies." He keeps asking about them all of the time.
And that's a really watered up version of what we've been up to since then. I'll be better about blogging now. (we'll see.) Until later!

Proof

Ok. Here's proof that I'm the nerd that I've always been. :D
I'm doing online classes at UVU for now. This allows me to be a stay at home mom, work and still get school done even though I can't actually attend classes. My professor e-mailed the results of our latest math test. I was pretty sure that I didn't do too well. I remember it taking me a bit of time. I was distracted because I needed to pick up Alex soon from my sister's house so he could get to his nap on time and I could get to work on time and I had about 7 out of 25 questions that I really didn't understand and I had to go back and recheck them or to try and figure them out. I'm one of those people who when they do a test I go through all of the easy stuff first and then go back to the hard ones. 7 questions to go back to was quite a lot. I was sure that I knocked my grade down just a few pegs. Sad.
Yesterday I received an e-mail from my professor. Here's a little snippet.

"The course grade posted in Blackboard reflects the result of homework assignments (Chapters 1- 8), quizzes and Tests 1 & 2.
Test 2 result: Highest Grade: 96
Lowest Grade: 13 "

I went to check my grades and I GOT THE HIGHEST GRADE. I kind of forgot what it felt like to excel in school. Last semester I got b's. B's are good but they're nothing like an A.
Ok, So I'm bragging and it's really not attractive and I'm sure now that I posted this I'm going to do horrible on my next test but I just wanted to say that the nerd is back.

3 YEARS BABY!

That's right. First we went to the parade and met up with cousins. That was super neat. We were only there for about 20 mins. I mean... How many of the same float can you watch go by and not get bored? Next stop was 7 peaks! Of course, my fish, aka Alex, loved every second of it. Addison and I were able to go on a couple of the rides while our friend, Janene, watched Alex for us. One thing I noticed is how much scary rides are when you haven't been on them for awhile. Seriously. I shrieked like a little girl... and Addison shrieked like the little girl older sister. ;) It was fun. And then for the evening we did fireworks. The fireworks we had were given to me last year from my friend, Holly, who had already had them for a year. So 2 years + this year = 3 year old fireworks! AAHHHH. But Addy was determined to use them. They weren't so bad except for the sparklers that weren't so much 'spark' as they were pure fire. yeah. But no serious injuries... and that's a lot coming from my pyro-loving family.

P.S. It was super fun. The perfect amount of time, the perfect weather, the perfect family and the perfect vacation. We had a blast.

We left Utah on Friday morning and it was snowing. Yes, that's correct. Snowing. But we were not detered. Addison was confident that we would miss the storm. I was confident that we were heading straight into that sucker. Of course, being the wife, I was right. ;) We weren't even an hour on the road when woops, our car does a complete 180 towards trafic. I was too scared to even scream. Then Addison did some sort of manuever that he learned from a video game and we did another 180 now going with trafic. We pulled over to the side of the road and said a prayer of thanks. I know we were being watched after. It was seriously intense.

Once we got to California we stayed with Addison's wonderful Aunt Bethanie. Seriously, they were so sweet to let us crash at their place. And she's a wonderful cook and kept feeding us. We loved spending time with cousins. Alex was in heaven fallowing Lilly and Max everywhere. He had a better time with Lilly and Max than he did at Disney Land. :)

We visited the beach were Addison showed me that, yes, he knows how to surf and Alex discovered that he has a taste for sand. No joke, the kid was scooping it up and trying to eat it. Maybe it's a boy thing.

We stopped by the cliffs at La Jolla Beach. It was beautiful there. Alex kept trying to run off to play but luckily Bethanie gave us their kid leash. I don't care what people think, that thing is a wonderful invention. Here's a funny pic of Addy and Alex with it.

Disney Land was not a hit for either of my boys. Alex was not fond of the rides, lines, or the crowds. It was pretty hard to keep him happy. We're definately going to wait until he's a few years older before we try that again. Addison got really sick at Disney Land so we ended up leaving early and spending the rest of the day in the hotel room. Don't be sad for us though. It was kinda nice. It was a nice needed break. By then we'd been going and going for about 5 days and needed the stop.

Sea World was a major sucess. Alex LOVED it. He had a great time at the shows and just looking at the animals. Addison enjoyed it a lot too. We have to go back. And I've made a vow that next time I do I will sign up and swim with the dolphins. We got to watch people do it and I was so so so jealous. This is a picture of the two guys in an underwater tunnel. Yes, those are sharks swimming over their heads. Pretty cool.
And lastly, we got to visit family in Sacramento! This time we stayed with Addison's grandma and grandpa. I'm sad that I don't have any pictures from their though. Of course I misplaced the camera by then and didn't find it for about 2 weeks later. But we had a blast. Great Grandma and Grandpa even staged an easter egg hunt for Alex. So sweet. And of couse we go to see Addison's sister Mackenzie and her husband Taylor while we were there. We missed them so much. It was fun to see them and just to hang out.

So that was our vacation.

FAMILY PICTURES:

Here are some family pictures we took. This is my side of the family.

The whole group. We're still missing Kelly and his family that couldn't make it.

My Parents and their kids. (Top: Peggy, Mom, Dad, Lindsey, Rodney. Bottom: me, Kady, Nick and Rosemary.)

All the grandkids. When people don't pay for their storage for a while, I'm the luck girl who jumps through legal hoops to auction off their stuff so we can get our storage unit back. This month it was my turn out of us office girls to run this thing. We were auctioning off 4 units. Two outdoor spaces and 2 indoor. 3 of the units had cars in them. Aparently auctioning off cars is a hot and popular thing because I had probably close to 40 people show up. It was intimidating. I'm just not a huge fan of speaking in public and here I am, selling off people's personal things. Fun. Anyway, usually things don't go for very much. I've seen a car go for $25 dollars before. No joke. I told Addison to bid on the 1996 Ford Explorer but only up to $200. (who knows what sort of problems it has) The auction starts and is a bit like the movies. Only me as the auctioneer and its akward. It sounds something like this. "$50 dollars to #5. Do I hear $70? $70 to #8. Do I hear $90? $90 to # 3
Addison is #3. He bids at $100 and then at $150 and then at $200 and I was fine with that. You could tell he was having fun. I wasn't fine when he went to $300 and then $360 and then $400. When he hit $400 I gave him the dirtiest look I could muster. What the crazy!? He just smiled. Luckily someone went to $410. It's not that we don't have $400 but I wanted to spend that on our family vacation to Cailfornia. Not a car that I wasn't even sure if it ran well. Hehe.

I'm 23

I'm 23 and it's wierd. I swear I was just 16. Anyway, my birthday was great. Addison is seriously the best husband ever. He got me Hero's season 2, new shoes, some hair things and.... a book! I'm probably the worst bookworm ever. When I get a good book I don't put it down until it's done. It's a problem. I'm working on it. Actually, no I'm not. :)

Then on Friday my best friends, Alysse and Jentrie, took me to lunch at the Pizza Factory. Of course I didn't bring my camera but Jentrie did and took this picture for me. It's actually the only picture that I took for my birthday so there you go. The reason I like it is because Alex has gotten so big and you can really see it in the picture. Enjoy!

P.S. I welcome everyone to read it because it will force me to stick to the goal that I have. If you don't want to read about a 22 year old girls weight loss journal; then don't. I won't be offended. I've added a link to my page for those who want to though.
This blog will continue to be about the goings on in the Steinagel House hold. No worries.
Thanks!

Car, Football & PJ's

MY CAR BROKE and I no nothing about cars so can you imagine what must have been going on in my head. "Oh... crap." It's been such a faithful little thing too so I guess we were about due for something to happen. My warranty expired about 10,000 miles ago too. The funny thing is that on the way to drop Addison off at work we talked about how we've been lucky with this car and that when we do buy another one someday we should get a newer one so we don't have to worry about paying for repairs. Not 30 minuets later... I'm at an intersection in Orem and my car refuses to move. (Keep in mind that I have my baby in the backseat, it's freezing and I am car-idiot. really, I'm not offended in the least by this thought.) I put my hazard lights on and wait patiently (or I thought patiently) for some good Samaritan to stop by and give me a hand to push it to the side of the street. No one came so I ran to the nearest house to ask for a hand. The cutest old man opened the door and here's the part that I feel bad for. I had HIM push my car! He could have had back problems or have been week and here I am making him push my car so I could steer it to the side of the road. (I do have plans to bring a treat by though. No worries.) I luckily was near Addison's Aunt Laurel's house so Alex and I visited with her and her daughter Adylaid (sp?) while my mother came to rescue me. I came home and got a lovely experience calling mechanics and my insurance company and more mechanics... feeling every bit the grown-up that I supposedly am.

Now my car rest at the dealership waiting to be repaired. Apparently the clutch cable and a bracket are broken. Yeah, I don't really know what that means either. My poor car. Here's a picture from google a 2003 Kia Rio. I would show one of mine but 1. I don't have any pictures and 2. my car is so dirty that even if I did have a picture I wouldn't show ya'll. He he.

On to happier and bluer things... I went to a BYU football game and survived! Yes, I am a BYU fan... I'm just not a fan of zoobies and going to a BYU game is a sure-fire way to get bombarded by a huge infestation of such people. No, just kidding. But Addison and I went and had a blast! The game was great. BYU won which was a huge plus too. Ok, but I do have to say that I don't understand a few things about the whole BYU game scene. I know it is a part of the atmosphere and I should dive right in and take a part in the experience but I have to draw the line at Star Wars. I'm talking about ALL of the fans standing up and marching in sync to the Darth Vador theme song. (I don't know what it's really called.) Do they even have football in Star Wars. I don't think so. I'll have to ask my husband, though. Well, here are some pictures that I took at the game, please enjoy. One of them is of me and Addison having fun. The second one is of us being scared by the man in front of us who felt the need to high five (in the same order) the same 3 people after EVERY play. And the last one is of the band. I thought they were very talented. As a dance I couldn't help but be impressed by the choreography. *I think it's funny how I attended a football game and was able to take a picture of the marching band but not of the team. Hmmmnn.

And the final leg of my post. Simple as that. It's 4 nights in a row now where I've gotten up around 3 or 4 in the morning and haven't gone back to sleep. The reasons for getting up that early revolve around my son having nightmares (which breaks my heart), the marines (don't ask) and then my own one-hundred and hour mind. You know when you can't sleep because your thinking too much? Or is that just me I wonder.

I inherited a very interesting trait from my mom. She and I are very analytical. I am always trying to solve problems. Not necessarily problems but I think about the best ways to handle things that come up in life and then after I've come up with a plan I try and work out each scenario that can occur and see if there is a better plan. I'm a nut job. Simple as that. And then if things don't go according to plan... then I think about how I could have foreseen the outcome and what should I have done about it.

I thinks it's hilarious that I've married someone like Addison. He's so laid back and takes things as they come. I hope some of that has rubbed off on me... It may take a few more years. He's one of those people who enjoy the ride; not just the destination. I love that about him. I love him. Simple as that. He is a great husband. He's a great dad. He's a great friend. He's just great.

I've read through this and I think it's clear that I'm insane. It's so crazy! His birthday was last Tuesday on August 5th. I love my baby boy and I'm so exicted that he's growing. He definately has his own personality. He's tries to make us laugh all of the time and whenever he hears anytype of music he bursts out dancing. (much to Addison's dismay)

For his birthday we had cake and ice cream at my parents house with all of his cousins and aunts and uncles from my side of the family. We were able to talk to his grandparents and cousins on his dad's side of the family in Ukraine over Skype which was great. (Skype... a great invention) Well, I've proven that I'm not great at the whole blogging thing... which is fine. I'll just put some more pictures up. I'm sure I'll come up with some witty sayings later.

So random

I just love when random things appear. Maybe 7? 6?

I'm glad I could share this with you all.

Jesus is the Christ

Our family wanted to take the time to share some important thoughts with you. Thank you for reading.

I know that Jesus is my savior and is my Lord. I am so grateful for Him and for my Heavenly Father. I know that He is there and loves me. He loves us all. That's why we're here on earth. Our Heavenly Father loves us enough to give us what we all desperately desired; to be like Him. And this life is our chance to overcome all of our faults and frailties and learn to be beyond happy. I've prayed to Him and have experienced his hand in my life. I love my God. I'm grateful for the restored gospel and for a prophet on earth today. - Ana I. Steinagel

Our Heavenly Father has a plan for all of us. I have witnessed our Father's hand in my life, as well as His Son's hand. I know he is there. I have felt Him and have witnessed miracles from Him in my life as well as the lives of others. I am so thankful for all the blessings in my life, and I know that we are all put here on earth to receive tests from our Father in heaven, as well as to receive blessings too. I also know that the Book of Mormon and the Bible to be true, and that Joseph Smith translated the Book of Mormon in our latter days. I know that we have modern day Prophets, Seers and Revelators. I'm so thankful for the gospel and the blessing it is in my life. - Addison B. Steinagel

I love my mom and dad. - Alex L. Last week was one of those weeks. Tuesday, June 18th,Addion's younger brother, Jordan, got his Eagle! Congrats Jordy! What a huge accomplishment. I didn't realize everything these guys had to do for that. (Since I grew up in a house for of girls...) They even had a really neat display of ravens, falcons, owls and even 2 eagles. One of which was a BALD EAGLE! (not really bald by the way) It was very great to see, except that I have this very unusual fear of birds so I stayed in the corner of the gym most of the time just not trying to draw attention to myself. But that's another story.

Wednesday, June 19th, we were invited by Addison's parents, Lane and Jenne, to be part of their setting apart for their calling a a Mission President in Kiev Ukraine. It was very neat to meet Elder Cook. A real apostle! I just kept thinking that this man is just like Peter, and Paul and John.... An apostle. It was a very lovely spiritual experience.

Thursday Alex got his first haircut. Adalyn Grace Harris 7 lbs 3 oz 19 in. Jennifer and I have been friends since... I can't remember. We grew up in the same ward and I'm so happy that we're still great friends. Alex was so astounded by the activity going on everywhere. We met up with cousins Zoe and Ava. (Mom of course forgot to take pictures) After watching the last of the parade we sat on the grass infront of Target and waited for the fireworks. I loved the look on Alex's face. He was so excited to see them. He kept bouncing up and down and then looking at us to see if we could see them too. This picture is of Alex watching the fireworks.

Then yesterday, for Father's Day, we went to my dad's house for a Bar-B-Que. My dad prides himself on making good Stakes. The cool part was all but one of my dad's kids were able to come. (this happens about once every 3 years.) It was great to see everyone. My sister Lindsey brought over's Zoe's pool and Alex had his very first swimming experience! He loved it. Not that I'm surprised. He's so difficult to control when he's taking a bath. This is a picture of Alex and his cousin Karson playing in the pool. They're too cute if I do say so myself.

Get me to the church on time!...

MACKENZIE'S MARRIED! I've never been inside that temple before and I was blown away by it's elegance and spirit. There is nothing in the world like a temple. It was glorious. We were both excited to share their day with them. and Alex was such a trooper to hold up while all the pictures were being taken. (it was a long process) This is going to be mainly a picture blog... sorry, but I hope you enjoy them.

May is here!

Well, things are going to be crazy for us this month. Let me explain.

Work: We are trying to find a new girl to work for us but because my boss is beyond impossibly strict on who he hires. It has been kinda nighmarish. There are only 3 of us and 1 of the girls quit. The other girl is going on vacation for a
week so that mean I have to work 9+ hours a day with a 9 month old and still try and find someone to hire and train.

Big Show is coming up. Lots of practice. I kinda worry about the practices getting in the way of other things coming up.

May 10th is Addison's Birthday and he says he doesn't want anything. What a pooper. He loves Ruby River so that will definately be on the schedual. This is the first time in 3 years that he wasn't going to be doing military duties on his birthday. (Last year he was in Israel training.)

May 10th is also Jennifer Harris' baby shower and I can't make it anymore because I have to work because I'm the only one all call. So sad.

My cute sister-in-law is getting married at the end of the month and I don't think I can be happier for her. I just through her a bridal shower on the 3rd. It turned out pretty good, if I can say so myself. She's beyond sweet.

I just read over this and realized that it sounds like I'm complaining. I'm not trying to. Just saying that this month will be insanely busy. But, I can handle it. I've got my family and Heavenly Father. That is all I need.

Well, I'm going to end with some recent pictures of our family enjoying the new weather outside. YEAH! I'm so glad spring is here.

Our Home!

I decide to also post pictures of our home. We finally received our Federal Tax Refund and now he can get his toy for the year. I should explain. Addison and I decided that no matter what, each year we get a tax return, part of that should go to something fun. And since last year I got new couches... this year he gets a brand new laptop. I swear, he's like a little kid at Christmas. I'm really excited for him. (Don't worry, not ALL of it is going to the laptop.)
THE BAD : There is no bad. But... something had to go there in the title.
THE OWIE : I FELL DOWN and it hurt. I sound like a 90 year old woman with a hip problem. But, nope, just a 22 year old with icy steps. I had even put that ice melt stuff on them 2 hours before I fell but I happened to step in the one area where the ice didn't melt so down I went. Luckily, I was able to catch Alex and he didn't get hurt... but I did. These last two days have been spent at home with a wonderful little pill called a muscle relaxer. But, my pain is now almost all gone. So... no more owie. Hehe. I might have cracked my tailbone but it'll heal by itself. No need for an x-ray.

The Helmet Warrior!

A lot of people have asked me about Alex and the helmet that he wears. I think it's wonderful. I don't mind the questions. Ask away! But for those who don't want to ask, here is the story.

When Alex was born he only liked using one side of his head. No matter how I propped him or rotated him he would find one way to snuggle in his favorite position which led to a pretty major flat spot on his head. (I was way freaked out to leave him on his stomach for extreme periods or time. All the nurses and books warn against it.) Anyway, the helmet is to help correct his head so it's nice and symmetrical. He doesn't have a brain condition or anything. He's completely normal and healthy. This is just his mom helping him to fix his head so kids won't make fun of him later. It's only for 3-4 months. Anyway, I love his helmet. I like to think of him as a mini Juggernaut (from X-men) or a warrior from Nephite times. JK.

These pictures are some of my favorite. The first is of a 2 weeks ago. He loves this bouncer but it tired him out fast. What a great adventure. The 2nd picture was 3 days ago. I really think he might be a musician. (wishful thinking?) He loves sitting with his Grandma Jenne and playing on her piano. He plinks and bangs; then turns fully expecting applause for his wonderful composition. It's too cute.
