A lot of people have asked me about Alex and the helmet that he wears. I think it's wonderful. I don't mind the questions. Ask away! But for those who don't want to ask, here is the story.
When Alex was born he only liked using one side of his head. No matter how I propped him or rotated him he would find one way to snuggle in his favorite position which led to a pretty major flat spot on his head. (I was way freaked out to leave him on his stomach for extreme periods or time. All the nurses and books warn against it.) Anyway, the helmet is to help correct his head so it's nice and symmetrical. He doesn't have a brain condition or anything. He's completely normal and healthy. This is just his mom helping him to fix his head so kids won't make fun of him later. It's only for 3-4 months. Anyway, I love his helmet. I like to think of him as a mini Juggernaut (from X-men) or a warrior from Nephite times. JK.
These pictures are some of my favorite. The first is of a 2 weeks ago. He loves this bouncer but it tired him out fast. What a great adventure. The 2nd picture was 3 days ago. I really think he might be a musician. (wishful thinking?) He loves sitting with his Grandma Jenne and playing on her piano. He plinks and bangs; then turns fully expecting applause for his wonderful composition. It's too cute. So, we bought him this little piano so he could have fun here at home too!
