I can be a Nerd Too!

I beat Addison at a Game! 3 TIMES!!!! It was awsome so I took pictures to document the very rare occasion. He was so shocked! He spent the rest of the night practicing. Haha! I love my nerd.
Picture 2! Here is my husband Teaching my son to embrase nerdism. I don't know what to do. Jk. It's super cute. Alex wants to do everything that Addison does. It's very sweet.
PS. There is another new post right before this one! Don't miss it!

Bubba

This us Bubba summed up in one picture....
He's been doing this face for months. At first, he would do this because he would get upset at Addison or me. But everytime he did it we'd laugh so hard. Now he does this face when he wants to make us laugh. And it works without fail.

Picure Blog

You've been warned!

It's been a while since I've blogged so here is just a quik update on our lives recently.

Alex has taken to walking around our house with his diaper half-way down his bum. It's hilarious. Aparently this is alot more comfortable for him. Oh well.

This is of Alex's first camping trip back in September. It's kinda pass due.

This is Farmer Alex at Halloween

This is just a tipical evening at our home. Our bubba gets so excited when Dad gets home.

And then date night with the 3 studges and their wives. (Amber and Mitch, Ian and Tara and Addy and me. However; I didn't get a picture of me or Tara. Woops.)

Side Blogging

I started a new blog that will be a sort of diary of a weight loss goal that I have. I welcome everyone to read it because it will force me to stick to the goal that I have. If you don't want to read about a 22 year old girls weight loss journal; then don't. I won't be offended. I've added a link to my page for those who want to though.
This blog will continue to be about the goings on in the Steinagel House hold. No worries.
Thanks!

Car, Football & PJ's

MY CAR BROKE and I no nothing about cars so can you imagine what must have been going on in my head. "Oh... crap." It's been such a faithful little thing too so I guess we were about due for something to happen. My warranty expired about 10,000 miles ago too. The funny thing is that on the way to drop Addison off at work we talked about how we've been lucky with this car and that when we do buy another one someday we should get a newer one so we don't have to worry about paying for repairs. Not 30 minuets later... I'm at an intersection in Orem and my car refuses to move. (Keep in mind that I have my baby in the backseat, it's freezing and I am car-idiot. really, I'm not offended in the least by this thought.) I put my hazard lights on and wait patiently (or I thought patiently) for some good Samaritan to stop by and give me a hand to push it to the side of the street. No one came so I ran to the nearest house to ask for a hand. The cutest old man opened the door and here's the part that I feel bad for. I had HIM push my car! He could have had back problems or have been week and here I am making him push my car so I could steer it to the side of the road. (I do have plans to bring a treat by though. No worries.) I luckily was near Addison's Aunt Laurel's house so Alex and I visited with her and her daughter Adylaid (sp?) while my mother came to rescue me. I came home and got a lovely experience calling mechanics and my insurance company and more mechanics... feeling every bit the grown-up that I supposedly am.
Now my car rest at the dealership waiting to be repaired. Apparently the clutch cable and a bracket are broken. Yeah, I don't really know what that means either. My poor car. Here's a picture from google a 2003 Kia Rio. I would show one of mine but 1. I don't have any pictures and 2. my car is so dirty that even if I did have a picture I wouldn't show ya'll. He he.
On to happier and bluer things... I went to a BYU football game and survived! Yes, I am a BYU fan... I'm just not a fan of zoobies and going to a BYU game is a sure-fire way to get bombarded by a huge infestation of such people. No, just kidding. But Addison and I went and had a blast! The game was great. BYU won which was a huge plus too. Ok, but I do have to say that I don't understand a few things about the whole BYU game scene. I know it is a part of the atmosphere and I should dive right in and take a part in the experience but I have to draw the line at Star Wars. I'm talking about ALL of the fans standing up and marching in sync to the Darth Vador theme song. (I don't know what it's really called.) Do they even have football in Star Wars. I don't think so. I'll have to ask my husband, though. Well, here are some pictures that I took at the game, please enjoy. One of them is of me and Addison having fun. The second one is of us being scared by the man in front of us who felt the need to high five (in the same order) the same 3 people after EVERY play. And the last one is of the band. I thought they were very talented. As a dance I couldn't help but be impressed by the choreography. *I think it's funny how I attended a football game and was able to take a picture of the marching band but not of the team. Hmmmnn.

And the final leg of my post. Today Alex got the cutest pajamas from his Grandma Jenne. I love them. I had to take some pictures of him with them on. And of course, the monkey as well. Alex has a stuffed Monkey that goes everywhere with him. He loves that thing and carries it around the house by the tail with his teeth.

Simple as that.

I miss sleeping. Simple as that. It's 4 nights in a row now where I've gotten up around 3 or 4 in the morning and haven't gone back to sleep. The reasons for getting up that early revolve around my son having nightmares (which breaks my heart), the marines (don't ask) and then my own one-hundred and hour mind. You know when you can't sleep because your thinking too much? Or is that just me I wonder.
I inherited a very interesting trait from my mom. She and I are very analytical. I am always trying to solve problems. Not necessarily problems but I think about the best ways to handle things that come up in life and then after I've come up with a plan I try and work out each scenario that can occur and see if there is a better plan. I'm a nut job. Simple as that. And then if things don't go according to plan... then I think about how I could have foreseen the outcome and what should I have done about it.
I thinks it's hilarious that I've married someone like Addison. He's so laid back and takes things as they come. I hope some of that has rubbed off on me... It may take a few more years. He's one of those people who enjoy the ride; not just the destination. I love that about him. I love him. Simple as that. He is a great husband. He's a great dad. He's a great friend. He's just great.

I've read through this and I think it's clear that I'm insane. But I'm just going to chalk it up to lack of sleep. I hope I didn't scare anyone with this glimpse into my mind.

I'm laughing right now!

I love Alex. He's hilarious and constantly making my day. Let me just set up the scene for ya'll.

I take the clothes out of the dryer and walk to my room to put them on my bed. I plan on folding them later. I walk back to the laundry room and this is what I find.

One Years Old

ALEX IS 1! It's so crazy! His birthday was last Tuesday on August 5th. I love my baby boy and I'm so exicted that he's growing. He definately has his own personality. He's tries to make us laugh all of the time and whenever he hears anytype of music he bursts out dancing. (much to Addison's dismay)

For his birthday we had cake and ice cream at my parents house with all of his cousins and aunts and uncles from my side of the family. We were able to talk to his grandparents and cousins on his dad's side of the family in Ukraine over Skype which was great. (Skype... a great invention) Well, I've proven that I'm not great at the whole blogging thing... which is fine. I'll just put some more pictures up. I'm sure I'll come up with some witty sayings later.

So random

I just love when random things appear. Just somthing in your day to make it special. And that's what happened to me this morning.

I was using the scanner at my parents house when I came upon this picture of my family from a long long time ago. Look at my face! We were suppose to be serious and instead... I came out looking like that. And Nick couldn't be serious either but at least he didn't look like some alien. Hehe.I don't even know how old I was in this picture. Maybe 7? 6?

I'm glad I could share this with you all.

Jesus is the Christ

Our family wanted to take the time to share some important thoughts with you. Thank you for reading.

I know that Jesus is my savior and is my Lord. I am so grateful for Him and for my Heavenly Father. I know that He is there and loves me. He loves us all. That's why we're here on earth. Our Heavenly Father loves us enough to give us what we all desperately desired; to be like Him. And this life is our chance to overcome all of our faults and frailties and learn to be beyond happy. I've prayed to Him and have experienced his hand in my life. I love my God. I'm grateful for the restored gospel and for a prophet on earth today. - Ana I. Steinagel

Our Heavenly Father has a plan for all of us. I have witnessed our Father's hand in my life, as well as His Son's hand. I know he is there. I have felt Him and have witnessed miracles from Him in my life as well as the lives of others. I am so thankful for all the blessings in my life, and I know that we are all put here on earth to receive tests from our Father in heaven, as well as to receive blessings too. I also know that the Book of Mormon and the Bible to be true, and that Joseph Smith translated the Book of Mormon in our latter days. I know that we have modern day Prophets, Seers and Revelators. I'm so thankful for the gospel and the blessing it is in my life. - Addison B. Steinagel

I love my mom and dad. - Alex L. Steinagel

A Busy Life

You know life is good when you are so busy and it's because you are surrounded by those you love, things that matter, and you don't mind the chaos. Last week was one of those weeks. Tuesday, June 18th,Addion's younger brother, Jordan, got his Eagle! Congrats Jordy! What a huge accomplishment. I didn't realize everything these guys had to do for that. (Since I grew up in a house for of girls...) They even had a really neat display of ravens, falcons, owls and even 2 eagles. One of which was a BALD EAGLE! (not really bald by the way) It was very great to see, except that I have this very unusual fear of birds so I stayed in the corner of the gym most of the time just not trying to draw attention to myself. But that's another story.

Wednesday, June 19th, we were invited by Addison's parents, Lane and Jenne, to be part of their setting apart for their calling a a Mission President in Kiev Ukraine. It was very neat to meet Elder Cook. A real apostle! I just kept thinking that this man is just like Peter, and Paul and John.... An apostle. It was a very lovely spiritual experience.

Thursday Alex got his first haircut. He was so well behaved! I couldn't help but take some pictures. He looks so handsome now. Even more than he did!

Friday, June 20th, Jennifer Harris gave birth to a beautiful Baby girl. Adalyn Grace Harris 7 lbs 3 oz 19 in. Jennifer and I have been friends since... I can't remember. We grew up in the same ward and I'm so happy that we're still great friends. She'll be a fantastic mother.

And then Wednesday, June 25th, we said goodbye to Lane, Jenne, Jordan, Morgan and Slade as they headed off to serve the Lord in Kiev! We can't wait to visit in 2010!

Fireworks and the Pool!

Addison, Alex and I got to enjoy Summer Fest in Orem this past weekend! Alex was so astounded by the activity going on everywhere. We met up with cousins Zoe and Ava. (Mom of course forgot to take pictures) After watching the last of the parade we sat on the grass infront of Target and waited for the fireworks. I loved the look on Alex's face. He was so excited to see them. He kept bouncing up and down and then looking at us to see if we could see them too. This picture is of Alex watching the fireworks.

Then yesterday, for Father's Day, we went to my dad's house for a Bar-B-Que. My dad prides himself on making good Stakes. The cool part was all but one of my dad's kids were able to come. (this happens about once every 3 years.) It was great to see everyone. My sister Lindsey brought over's Zoe's pool and Alex had his very first swimming experience! He loved it. Not that I'm surprised. He's so difficult to control when he's taking a bath. This is a picture of Alex and his cousin Karson playing in the pool. They're too cute if I do say so myself.

Get me to the church on time!...

MACKENZIE'S MARRIED! I'm so so so happy for her. You can tell that Taylor are so in love just by looking at them. Addison and I attended their sealing in the Salt Lake Temple yesterday. It was beautiful. I've never been inside that temple before and I was blown away by it's elegance and spirit. There is nothing in the world like a temple. It was glorious. We were both excited to share their day with them. and Alex was such a trooper to hold up while all the pictures were being taken. (it was a long process) This is going to be mainly a picture blog... sorry, but I hope you enjoy them.

May is here!

Well, things are going to be crazy for us this month. Let me explain.

  1. Work: We are trying to find a new girl to work for us but because my boss is beyond impossibly strict on who he hires. It has been kinda nighmarish. There are only 3 of us and 1 of the girls quit. The other girl is going on vacation for a
week so that mean I have to work 9+ hours a day with a 9 month old and still try and find someone to hire and train.

  2. Big Show is coming up. Lots of practice. I kinda worry about the practices getting in the way of other things coming up.

  3. May 10th is Addison's Birthday and he says he doesn't want anything. What a pooper. He loves Ruby River so that will definately be on the schedual. This is the first time in 3 years that he wasn't going to be doing military duties on his birthday. (Last year he was in Israel training.)

  4. May 10th is also Jennifer Harris' baby shower and I can't make it anymore because I have to work because I'm the only one all call. So sad.

  5. My cute sister-in-law is getting married at the end of the month and I don't think I can be happier for her. I just through her a bridal shower on the 3rd. It turned out pretty good, if I can say so myself. She's beyond sweet.

I just read over this and realized that it sounds like I'm complaining. I'm not trying to. Just saying that this month will be insanely busy. But, I can handle it. I've got my family and Heavenly Father. That is all I need.

Well, I'm going to end with some recent pictures of our family enjoying the new weather outside. YEAH! I'm so glad spring is here.
